Reminder to parents: Do not walk through the parking lot!
If
you park on the street and walk in to get your child after school,
please DO NOT WALK THROUGH THE PARKING LOT. This is dangerous and
against school rules. The walkway in front of the parking lot will take
you around to the front of the school and have you cross at the
crosswalk (near the K playground.) Cutting through the parking lot is
NOT a path into the school. Please use the sidewalk and obey the yellow
signs.
Thank you,
The Oak Knoll Staff
NO DOGS on School Property
Please
remember that there are NO DOGS allowed on campus - on leashes, held in
your arms, tucked in your bag. While your family-friendly dog seems
perfectly benign to bring to pick up, it does not seem that way to a
child who has had a scary experience with a dog in his lifetime. And
while you may think that the dog you are holding in your arms is
perfectly harmless, it may not seem that way to a child who has severe
dog allergies. That child may be looking around at all the children
petting your dog wondering which of those children is now going directly
to the same after-school class, not having washed hands, with pet hair
or saliva on their hands. It may sound over-reactive to you, but it
seems very scary to a child with allergies.
Let's teach our children to be respectful of all students at Oak Knoll by following the rules.
