What does our committee do?
The main areas of focus of the committee are to participate in the
annual review of the Oak Knoll Site Plan.
Ensure emergency supplies are adequate and kept up to date in the
classroom, main office kit and the central cache. Work with the administration
to keep our parent community educated and informed of our emergency polices and
plans and to support the faculty and staff as needed during drills and training
events.
What types of responsibilities do our volunteers help with?
* Inventory and replenishment of supplies
* Review and updating of
site plan and procedures
* Parent communications
When do we need you?
A core group of participants are ideally needed just before the start of
the school year and who will be available throughout the year to help with
various activities. Other
volunteers may be needed during the year depending on the events we do each
year.
How much time commitment is involved?
It’s dependant on the activity one chooses to help. It can vary from a couple of hours to
many hours.
Any special skills required?
It is always helpful to have individuals trained or familiar with
emergency procedures such as search and rescue, EMT, CPR, CERT, etc but this is
not mandatory. Many of our
activities just require individuals to be detailed oriented and interested in
providing a safe environment for our children and staff.
