Got Allergies? Emergency Preparedness?  Please read on!
Oak Knoll has a very comprehensive emergency preparedness plan that includes some food provisions called Lifebars - they are free of many of the top food allergens, but not all allergens.
They contain the following ingredients: Enriched flour, (added vitamin A,B-1, B-2, D,E, B-12, Niacin, iron, Folic acid, Magnesium, pantothenic acid, calcium, phosphorous) vegetable shortening, (partially hydrogenated soybean and/or cottonseed oils) granulated sugar, corn starch, corn syrup, natural lemon flavor, artificial butter flavor, artificial vanilla flavor, (tartrazine, FD&C yellow #5, FD&C red#40) artificial color ascorbic acid (vitamin C), gamma/delta tocopherols as a natural antioxidant.
If your child has a documented allergy that would prevent them from being able to eat these bars in an emergency, please have your pediatrician document the allergy on the attached Request for Physician Information form and return to the school office. Please also provide a small ziplock bag (clearly labeled with your child's name) of non-perishable bars to be kept in their classroom's emergency backpack.

Summer Camp Information
Check our new Summer Camp Website for information submitted by area summer camps. The District Council is providing this information to help you plan your student's summer. We have not evaluated this information or endorsed any of the camps, and the District is not responsible for any aspect of these camps.

5th Grade Parents

Hillview Middle School is beginning to recruit for committee chairs for the 2012-13 school year. This is a great way to get involved and become familiar with the brand new school. To learn more about the committees, click here. If you are interested in serving as a committee chair next year, please contact Pam Fernandes. Thanks for your support!

Watch KNOL

Oak Knoll's daily news broadcast - KNOL - can be viewed on cable channel 27 or streamed from www.communitymediacenter.net every week day morning beginning at 8:10 a.m.

A rotating cast and crew of 5th grade students provide a local weather forecast, daily birthday wishes and important campus announcements. If you are looking for these or a refresher on the words to the Pledge of Allegiance then tune in.
